The founders of Play On, Nashville! were talented student-athletes in their youth, devoting much of their childhood to competitive athletics. They experienced first-hand what athletics can provide in their lives, and they believe it is an opportunity that all children should have access to, no matter their financial situation. They believe that the life skills learned through quality sports and high-level athletics prepare young people for life, whether it be college, the work force, and also to be engaged, impactful citizens of the community. It is their belief that youth of all socio-economic backgrounds should have the same opportunities to compete and attain these skills and experiences, should they have a desire to do so.
Play On, Nashville is an non-profit, exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)3 of the IRS since October 2018.
The mission of Play On, Nashville! is to help children and youth of the Nashville metropolitan area engage in athletics and other physical activities by providing them with the basic gear and fees necessary to participate, as well as athletic and academic mentorship from staff and volunteers.

We are always accepting and appreciative of individual donations of intact, gently used sports gear, equipment, clothing, shoes, and attire. This initiative helps to fulfill our equipment grants.
Sporting goods retailers, manufacturers, and wholesalers can partner with Play On, Nashville! to reduce their cost of carrying unused or outdated inventory. Corporate partners have shared with us that they’d rather these goods be in the hands of children who can use them, rather than be collecting dust and taking up space in their warehouses!
